Article Abstract:
The negative reaction of the world currency market to Mexico's devaluation policies led to the peso's collapse in Dec. 1994. This reaction illustrate the modern capital market's attitude to fixed exchange rate systems. Therefore, governments must first study financial indicators before implementing devaluation measures.
