Cooperation and punishment in public goods experiments
Article Abstract:
This study shows that individuals will punish 'free-riders' or 'freeloaders' in a work system even if the punishment is costly. An example of these interactions are striking workers treatment of strike breakers.

The significance of both inequity aversion and efficiency motives is discussed along with data gathered from undergraduate students of economics and business administration. The existence of factors that may affect preferences between equality and efficiency is determined.
