China's WTO accession: impacts on regional agriculture income- a multi-regional, general equilibrium analysis
Article Abstract:
The effect of WTO accession on China's economy at regional level, particularly on the rural economy of less-developed regions is quantified. A regional Computable General Equilibrium(CGE) model, to analyze the differential regional impacts of China's accession to the WTO on agricultural production, trade, and farmers' income is described.

Rural-urban inequality in China is more marked than inland-coastal inequality, but the latter has increased over time, while the former has been more stable.
