Common properties and sectoral specificities in the dynamics of U.S. manufacturing companies
Article Abstract:
The paper studies the size dispersion and growth rate of US companies in the industrial sector using COMPUSTAT database based on parametric and nonparametric statistical methods. The results obtained are then applied to 15 sectors of the manufacturing sector viz. Food products, textile products, paper products and others to find common and unrelated statistical features. Other details of the study are provided.
