Competence implies credibility

The positive correlational role of transparency and credibility into a central bank's competence is discussed, as it provides a basis for comprehensible communication with the private sector. The central bank's established reputation of competence also results into a transparent and credible monetary policy.

Article Abstract:
Chief executive officer successions are analyzed to determine if kin-related successions are less effective than unrelated ones. Using this data, nepotism is shown to have undesirable effects on corporate settings compared with non-relative successions.
