Control or invest? Understanding the complex interests of managerial ownership
Article Abstract:
The effect of managerial ownership on corporate performance is studied with the use of three-stage-least method and simultaneous equation model. Findings of the study showed that better firm performance under a diffused ownership structure may prompt management to hold more stocks, while management with mid-range stockholdings has a positive effect on firm performance but not vice versa.

Corruption around the world: evidence from a structural model
Article Abstract:
Data related with corruption in roughly 100 countries from 1976-1997 were used in a structural model to develop a new index for corruption. A corruption index that focuses on the actual causes and indicators of corruption is more reliable than perception-based index. The trends in corruption are investigated.

Innovation in corporate law
Article Abstract:
An analysis of a country's capacity to innovate using the rate of statutory legal change, flexibility of corporate law and institutional changes is presented. This analysis shows that original countries are more innovative than transplant countries.
