Controlling corruption in hierarchies
Article Abstract:
A model has been designed in an attempt to extend the study conducted by Bac (1996) on fraudulent activities observed in two-level decentralized supervision environments. It was emphasized that the prevalence of corrupt activities in the upper management level tends to induce corrupt practices at lower management levela. It was further established that corruption can be minimized and prevented by relating upper management functions with those at lower levels and introducing non-collusion constraints between them.
