Cool, Collective and Conservative
Article Abstract:
A collective presidency of nine members, representing the provinces of Yugoslavia, will take office May 15. Although the province of Slovenia wanted to place three candidates in a contested election, no other province followed suit. The candidates have been nominated by the Socialist Alliance and will be elected without opposition. The Yugoslavian economy is suffering from sixty per cent inflation, rising unemployment and a sizeable foreign debt.

The dynamics of collective invention
Article Abstract:
The phenomenon of collective invention is the exchange and free circulation of knowledge and information within the groups, which leads to high innovation rates and further rapid technical changes. The relationship between the architecture of this network and the aggregate performance of the system is explicitly focused.

A proposal for a general freeze on European Economic Community (EEC) farm prices is in trouble. Recent figures show that EEC farm incomes have dropped. A table shows the EEC farm income index for 1983 by country.
