Decomposing poverty changes into vertical and horizontal components
Article Abstract:
Tunisian data are used to illustrate a general cost-of-inequality method that produces a sum of indices for the change in poverty with regard to variations in poverty intensity, rising disparities among poor people of similar welfare status, and shifts in welfare gaps among poor people of dissimilar welfare status.

Averaging Income Distributions
Article Abstract:
The analysis consists of placing prior densities and posterior densities on the mode of income, mean income, and the Gini coefficient for one-parent income units for Australia. Model-averaged findings for income distributions are discussed.

The Taylor Rule: A Spurious Regression?
Article Abstract:
Little evidence was found to support cointegration for the 1993 Taylor rule despite its necessity for compatibility between the data and the model. Caution is advised when applying this method to evaluation of central banking policy.
