Distinguished lecture on economics in government: accounting for saving and capital formation in the United States, 1947-1991
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to evaluate accounting for saving and capital formation for the US in various sectors. The study focuses on origin and application of saving and considers the possibility of gaining greater savings than capital formation as net lenders. Results show that the process of capital and saving formation has not been substantiated by economic theory and national accounting. The process failure has been attributed to absence of economic theory reformulation which will address modern economic systems.

Institutional changes and rising wage inequality: is there a linkage?
Article Abstract:
The widespread institutional changes during the 1980s have paved the way for rising wage inequality in the US. These institutional changes could have been generated directly from legislative interventions, particularly on minimum wage. Historical evidence, through international comparisons between the US and among other industrialized countries, reveals that institutional forces play a significant role in understanding the rise of wage inequality.
