Eliminating undeclared work: beyond a deterrence approach
Article Abstract:
A study critically examining undeclared work, which is perceived as market like activity done for monetary gain, and participation as a rational economic decision, is presented. An analysis on the resultant public policy, which seeks deterrence from such work by levying severe punishment, is also presented.
