Ethical stances: the perceptions of accountancy and HR specialists of ethical conundrums at work
Article Abstract:
An analytical study to understand how two groups of professionals perceive and act upon ethical situations at work is presented. The data from 43 interviews are discussed in the context of processual approach which showed that accountants take a broad and neutral view than human resources personnel on ethical issues.

This article examines the relative influence of accountants and marketers on business ethics in the UK. Research suggests that marketers have increasingly challenged the ethical perspectives of accountants because they deal with a much wider range of ethical concerns than accountants.
