Extracting inflation from stock returns to test purchasing power parity
Article Abstract:
A method of determining the inflation associated with purchasing power parity from stock returns is presented. For the purpose, inflation data is extracted from commodity price indices. The factors affecting purchasing power parity are also discussed.
