Article Abstract:

Broadcast fax is one of the most effective and easiest tools for economic developers to communicate with their constituencies. The only equipment needed are a fax machine and a personal computer. Broadcast fax involves pre-compiling a list of a group names or entities to which a common message has to be sent. Economic development offices, especially those that have limited budgets and few staff members, may benefit from the advantages of speed, low cost and flexibility due to broadcast fax.

The Internet - exploring its uses for economic development

Article Abstract:

The Nebraska Dept. of Economic Development is using the Internet as a tool for its economic development initiatives. Its experience shows that gaining access and learning how to use the Internet requires patience and determination, but the rewards are more than enough to make the effort worthwhile. Suggestions on how economic developers should use the Internet are also presented.
