Forecasting Australia's economic performance during the Asian crisis
Article Abstract:
The Asian economic crisis of 1997-98 did not have the devastating effect on Australia's gross domestic product growth rate that was predicted. Even though the crisis affected 60% of Australia's export market, the loss in balance of trade did not have as great an effect on gross domestic product growth as was expected.
