Heckscher-Ohline revisited: implications of differential population dynamics for trade within an overlapping generations framework
Article Abstract:
The implications of differential population dynamics on international trade of two regions are discussed. Unequal population dynamics affect the production in each region and consequently affect the wages, cost of production, rentals, etc. It is because of this that the need to trade emerges as suggested by Heckscher Ohlin. However, demographic dynamics are not the only reason for trading.
