Hiring personnel in Kazakhstan: informal guide for foreign firms
Article Abstract:
The US and Foreign Commercial Service in Kazakhstan prepared an informal guide for foreign firms on hiring personnel in the country. The guide has an overview of the country's labor market including areas such as unemployment, wages and training. It also covers licensing requirements for foreign labor including penalties and fees. The main factors that contributed to the preparation of the guide are the concerns expressed by US and other foreign investors on labor licensing procedures and the new employment law in the country.
