House allocation with existing tenants
Article Abstract:
A study on house resource allocation issues investigated a class of problems that included existing tenants and new applications. The model presumes that rents are exogenously given, there is no medium of exchange such as money and the indivisible good is used for job-related objectives. A simple, Pareto-efficient, individually rational and strategy-proof class of mechanisms is proposed. The model is extended to real life applications.
