There are several things economic developers may undertake to ensure that their job development program fails. One, they may choose to stay in ethnicity amidst a changing technology. Two, they may continue woeing external business prospects and ignore potential internal business expansions. They may also choose to refrain from creative programs, research and other opportunities that will provide incentives to existing and potential businesses.

Using total assessment audits to help Iowa's manufacturers compete
Article Abstract:
A Total Assessment Audit program increases profits of Iowa's manufacturing firms. The program evaluates process, energy and environmental concerns affecting productivity and profitability of firms. Funded by the Iowa Energy Center, the program undertakes a study of Iowa's industries. Results reveal considerable accomplishments in terms of increasing customer demands for product quality, dependability, shorter delivery and affordability.
