Article Abstract:
The method for writing of trade union history may follow a clear chronological order without being considered incomplete. A more sociological, analytical techniques may lead to a ponderous work that is difficult to read, especially if the target readers are members of the union. Furthermore, it is unnecessary as well to belabor accepted points and historical accounts should focus not only on the notable figures but on the common worker through oral history.

Equilibrium unemployment, search behaviour and unemployment persistency
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning reasons behind prolonged unemployment durations in Europe are discussed. Particular attention is given to the unemployment benefit system in Sweden. It is concluded that prolonged unemployment durations are mostly due to selective preference rather than search inefficiency.

Understanding the Higher Unemployment Rate of Women Scientists and Engineers
Article Abstract:
Higher unemployment rates exist for women scientists and engineers according to National Science Foundation data. The higher rate of unemployment is attributed to personal restrictions imposed by women on job search activities. Other contributing factors are age and experience.
