Indenturing banknotes as a mechanism to induce cooperation in conflict games
Article Abstract:
A class of one-shot games, also called indenture games, was evaluated to understand the role of indentured banknotes in conflict games. Under an indenture game with a principal refusing the outside option, the detection of principal's preferred strategy is expected for an agent having half of the torn banknote. Cooperating with the principal's action is advised for an agent who prefer to accept the second half of the banknote.
