Inflation targeting: what inflation rate to target?
Article Abstract:
A method for identifying an optimal monetary policy for central banks is presented. This monetary policy targets an optimal level of inflation. In this context, cost of living index (CPI), cost of production index (PPI), and interest rates, are also discussed.

Does trade openness matter for aggregate instability?
Article Abstract:
The effect of international trade on the stability of a small open economy is analyzed when inflation-targeting interest policies are adopted in such economies. A cash-in-advance model is used for ascertaining the effect.
