Interest rate rules and price determinacy: the role of transactions of bonds
Article Abstract:
As interest rate rules are associated with price indeterminacy, which inturn is associated with indeterminacy of real bond balances, a study is conducted by assuming that government bonds provide arbitrarily small transactions services to show that this can dramatically change the local and global determinacy conditions.

A model of a small open economy, where the real interest rate is decomposed in an international rate and a country risk component, is presented to evaluate the role of interest rates on business cycles in emerging economies.
