State and local incentives: the corporate perspective
Article Abstract:
Corporations planning to relocate their facilities somehow seek state and local incentives in the process. However, constraints are posed by the politics associated in negotiating for the said incentives. Incentives come in statutory form or those pre-approved by state and local government or in negotiated form based on the relocating corporation's needs. The best incentives though are those that are negotiated according to the corporation's policies and procedures.
