Estimating private savings behaviour in Greece
Article Abstract:
The economic and demographics aspects of long and short-run private savings in Greece, for the period between 1961 and 2000, are studied. The study shows that, the private savings behavior in the country is affected by economic conditions such as interest rates, liquidity and public finance, as well as demographic conditions such as fertility changes and number of old dependants.
