Market access through multilateral agreement: from goods to services
Article Abstract:
The political consequences in negotiations on multilateral market access on services is presented. Research reveals that no conclusive evidence presently exists that indicate the success of multilateral market access negotiations based on the ongoing Uruguay Round of talks in general and the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) in particular. However, the possibility of progress in the GATS has not been discounted in the long run.
