Money and capital investment in South Africa: a dynamic specification model
Article Abstract:
An econometric model analyzing the factors affecting the investment of money and capital in economic development is presented. For the purpose, data from South Africa is used. The study also evidences that foreign savings have a complementary relationship with domestic savings and do not have the effect of substitution. The effect of growth rate on savings rate is also examined. The adverse impact of dependency rates on savings rate is also observed.

Specialisation-based external economies, supply of primary factors and government size
Article Abstract:
The effects of specialization based external economies on size of government, economic growth and size of countries is examined. The effect of capital and labor in such economies are also examined. Monopolistic intermediate goods result in specialization based external economies wherein any increase in supply of capital and labor can decrease the size of government, irrespective of the capital investments in private and public sectors.
