Monetary integration and economic reform
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the effects of monetary integration, with or without a common currency, on inflation, welfare and reform in Europe. A two-period world was considered wherein policy makers allocate resources to reform labor markets or tax systems. Results indicated that monetary policy influences other economic decisions which cannot be bargained over. Findings also showed positive spillovers to economic reform.

Information and incentives: the economics of carrots and sticks
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the roles of incentives in generating economic returns reveals that relationships are far better determinants of results that asymmetries of information. The study also reveals that many relationships are cooperative arrangements that feature rewards and incentives for both parties but at varying degrees. Finally, the study states that further research is warranted.
