Licensing multimedia products and enforcement of copyright protection
Article Abstract:
Companies and persons interested in the licensing of multimedia products in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) should be aware of the relevant intellectual property rights. The prospective licensee should begin by ensuring that the licensor has the right to use the product. Other important considerations include the granting of the license, the delivery of product and testing, maintenance services, payments, accounting, warranties, name and likeness, termination and force majeure. The UAE takes strong action against infringers of intellectual property rights.
