On the dynamic effects of using hired labor in the Kibbutz - theory and case studies
Article Abstract:
Changes in the Kibbutz economy due to the introduction of hired labor were examined. The traditional labor-managed firm was used as the conceptual model in the study. The model was extended to cases of heterogenous labor in order to adapt it to the Kibbutz framework. It was found that the employment of hired labor in the Kibbutz would only improve its economic situation in the short run.
