Optimal dynamic investment policies under concave-convex adjustment costs
Article Abstract:
A dynamic investment model is analyzed. The model features a monopolistic firm which have concave-convex adjustment costs in terms of gross investment rates. Firms then maximize discounted dividend earnings and stock terminal value. It is shown that the determination of an optimal investment path is based on results which combine concave adjustment costs and convex adjustment costs.

Optimal Maintenance and Production Rates for a Machine
Article Abstract:
The optimal solution for nonlinear economic problems is achieved using two control variables for finite and infinite horizons. Application is made satisfactorily to determining the optimal production rates for a machine. Other model applications are suggested.
