Post-trade transparency on Nasdaq's national market system
Article Abstract:
Nasdaq national market system late trade reporting is found to be done out-of-sequence on both absolute levels and relative to the combined central exchanges. The findings suggest that market makers could use late trade reporting to manage the release of information and is consistent with the hypothesis that delayed reporting of trades is neither random nor fully explainable by outside factors.
