The Taylor rule and optimal monetary policy
Article Abstract:
A mathematical formula for a monetary policy is presented that is based on the standard monetary policy formula proposed by John B. Taylor. The Taylor rule is a simple formula that controls inflation by adjusting the interest rate. The new formula is more complex and can respond in variety of ways.
