The influence of the financial revolution on the nature of firms
Article Abstract:
The easy availability of financing and investment options made possible by deregulation and automation in the financial industry has changed corporate structure. Subsidiaries and divisions that once looked to the parent company for financing, can now make their own decisions. Employees now have more economic power as well.

The acceleration in variety growth
Article Abstract:
As variety of consumer goods increases, the levels of consumer spending increase. Spending increase much more for items with a lot of change and variety, but remains stagnant for categories with little change or variety. Old pricing models do not anticipate this change and a new model is needed.
