Article Abstract:
Both consumer price indexes (CPIs) declined 0.1% in Nov 1995. The CPI for All Urban Consumers declined to 153.6 without seasonal adjustment, but this still represented a 2.6% rise for the previous 12 months ending in Nov 1995. The CPI for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) reached 150.9, a 2.4% increase compared to Nov 1994. The smallest 12 month gains were 1.7% for transportation in both CPIs while the largest 12 month gains were in goods and services, 4.4% in the CPI-U and 4.3% for the CPI-W. Greatest drops were -2.7% in the CPI-U and -2.9% in the CPI-W for energy.

Article Abstract:
The consumer price index for all urban consumers (CPI-U) rose 0.2% in Sept 1995, while the consumer price index for urban wage earners and clerical workers (CPI-W) rose 0.3%. Both rises were figured without seasonal adjustment. Both indexes rose 2.5% since Sept 1994, the CPI-U ending Sept 1995 at 153.2 and the CPI-W ending the same period at 150.6. Health care had the largest 12-month gain, namely 4.4%, while transportation at 2.1% had the smallest 12 month gain.
