R&D cooperation and growth
Article Abstract:
A simple dynamic general equilibrium model that allows cooperative behavior among firms in their research and development game is proposed. One of the objectives is to model a situation wherein the Schumpeterian dilemma between dynamic and static efficiency is partially bypassed in an economy that is composed of a large number of competing companies. Results demonstrate that some of the missing explanatory variables of the traditional models of growth accounting are related to the cooperative attitudes of the agents in the economies studied.

Hiring procedures to implement stable allocations
Article Abstract:
A modeling of the stable correspondence of a job market in a Subgame Perfect Equilibrium shows that simple hiring procedures can approach Pareto efficiency. This is especially true under the job market condition wherein employers forward their salary offers to the employee and the employee decides to pick the best offer from a pool of salary offers. This is due to the effect of the additive preference of the agents in an environment where employers use undominated strategies.
