Regulation of the employment relationship: the 'old' institutional perspective
Article Abstract:
An assessment was undertaken with regards to views made by old institutional economists, such as John R. Commons, involving employment relationship regulation. Old institutionalists were known for taking a tough stand against unregulated labor market and unabridged freedom which, they believe, would create inefficiency and inequality. Promotion of noneconomic social goals, bargaining power equality and fair distribution of property rights are some of the labor-related issues advocated by the institutional economists of the Wisconsin School.

Instincts as reflex choice: does loss of temper have strategic value?
Article Abstract:
An analysis of reflex choices based on biological conflict models has proved that instincts may yield strategic values by providing a behaved emotional response. Likewise, it was shown that loss of temper tend to benefit a player under asymmetric conditions by imposing a rational awareness to engage in irrational fights. Individuals who are amply aware of their reflex choices can rationally manipulate their instinctual behaviour to their advantage.
