Risk management, capital budgeting, and capital structure policy for financial institutions: an integrated approach
Article Abstract:
A model was formulated to study capital allocation and capital structure decisions confronting financial entities. The model considers the relevance of risk management on value-maximizing banks. It also takes into account the idea that not all threats confronting banks can be easily hedged in the capital market. Utilization of the model shows the influence of bank and risk management in the valuation of risks that cannot be readily hedged.
