Russia on the path to an equilibrium market economy: "with our capabilites, it is entirely feasible"
Article Abstract:
This article discusses the future of Russia's economic development and transition to capitalism. The author provides a review of failed efforts at economic reforms during the 1990s, and suggests tasks for recovery in the future; the failure to develop free-market mechanisms despite 10 years of effort is examined, the state of the market for private property in Russia is found to rely largely on the state, and disparities in wages and economic well-being are considered an impediment to growth.
