Seeing risk in three dimensions
Article Abstract:
Mortgage-marketers are mainly concerned with two kinds of risk, interest-rate risk and credit risk. The relationship of the two kinds of risk concerning three factors, the net present value, loan-to-value ratio and probability distribution is analyzed. This is to point out the courses of action open to financial managers in view of falling interest rates or house-price depreciation.
