Some play fair, some don't: reciprocal fairness in a stylized principal-agent problem
Article Abstract:
Reciprocal fairness is examined in a stylized principal-agent problem. Reciprocal fairness in employee behavior contributes to the realization of the Pareto-efficient outcome. Random matching models were considered in the allocation of workers into finite subpopulations for a particular period of production. The break down of employees which follows a form of local structure model was due to the differences in attitudes towards fairness. It was shown, however, that employees or agents tried to influence the allocation. A good model for reciprocal fairness should therefore stand between the two models.

Adoption order of new technologies in evolving markets
Article Abstract:
Large companies and incumbents have a greater tendency to adopt new technologies earlier than small players and entrants when innovation does not rapidly render existing technologies and products obsolete. This is evident in the computer disk drive industry, although small firms and entrants adopt new technologies earlier than large ones and incumbents when innovation quickly renders current products obsolete. These findings are in agreement with both the strategy literature on heterogeneous research capabilities and economic literature on adoption of technology.

Is trust a historical residue? Information flows and trust levels
Article Abstract:
Trust affects organizational structures. In order to have a deeper knowledge of this relationship, an understanding of the determinants of trust is needed. By convention, trust is viewed as a historical residue. An examination of data from the International Telecommunications Union Yearbook and the World Values Survey 1990-1993, however, suggests that the level of trust increases as the level of two-way communication also increases. Thus, there exists a relationship between trust and information flows.
