Article Abstract:
Oil exploration has been resumed in the North Sea. The British government is allowing oil companies to preview territories which will be offered in 1985. Frontier areas will make up a major portion of the offerings with more lenient licensing terms. Oil and gas investment makes up almost one quarter of Britain's entire industrial investment. Oil companies are eager to receive government incentives.

Liverpool, England is the site of an international garden festival which opens in May. The city government, however, is refusing to have anything to do with it, and dissension within the council threatens it. Other tourist attractions will be opening in Liverpool.
