Strategic behavior and noncooperative hierarchical control
Article Abstract:
The relationship between strategic behavior and noncooperative hierarchical control was investigated using a class of econometric models. To this end, two unique cases of a nonlinear differential game with state variable alpha, namely, a redistribution controlled game and a Pareto controlled game, were considered to analyze the control objective of establishing cooperation between players to maximize efficiency. The models were shown to be capable of describing hierarchical situations where a coordinator utilizes a given decision rule to attain some given control objective.
