Strategic planning: its role in organizational politics
Article Abstract:
Formalised planning systems provide corporations with benefits, such as better communication, effective decision making, resource budgeting and supervisory techniques. Political emphasis needs to be eliminated by: focusing on the need for a clear strategic plan; realistic-based plan assessment; assessing quality and compliance; non-publication of external strategic plans and stressing the dangers of political factors.
