Equilibrium structures in vertical oligopoly
Article Abstract:
Vertical integration was analyzed as an equilibrium event by modeling it as an integration between Cournot oligopolies in both the upstream and the downstream stages. The issue of private profitability against collective profitability was investigated. Under several conditions, the equilibrium outcomes may produce a Prisoner's dilemma. The analysis was also applied to equilibrium outcomes in a dynamic setting. Results showed that integration is not a relatively common outcome.

Efficiency in partnership structures
Article Abstract:
An economic model for evaluating partnership structures was developed in an effort to determine the effect of agent participation and heterogeneity on organizational efficiency. It was shown that under corporate settings where strong complementary properties are exhibited across various production types, partnership structures tend to promote efficiency. However, in submodular technologies, the efficiency-sharing of employees exhibiting different ability levels is minimal.
