Testing risklove in an experimental racetrack
Article Abstract:
The Asch-Quandt Betting Hypothesis is tested through an experiment by postulating that racetrack betting is only a consumption activity. The experimental racetrack designed only allowed off-track betting where consumption activity was removed. Observed betting behavior is hypothesized to be consistent with prospect theory and its expected utility theory.
