Benefit transfers in Italy: an empirical study fo mobility lists in the Milan area
Article Abstract:
Labor market policies in the Milan area are evaluated using administrative data on mobility lists to determine the efficiency of benefit transfer schemes in older employees and potential employees. The evaluation, which was based on a reduced form estimates, showed that older workers gain Ceteris paribus, in which the bonus is higher for older workers who are allowed to stay in the lists and draw benefits for a longer period.

The relationship between supervision and pay: evidence from the British new earnings survey
Article Abstract:
The relationship of supervision and pay is assessed to determine the trade-off between the two variables. Empirical analysis is based on information taken from the British News Earnings Survey for 1975-1982. The study revealed that the relationship between supervision and pay can be affected significantly by estimation technique and by errors in the measurement of main variables.

A sequential testing strategy, in which companies testing non-academic abilities and schools testing academic abilities on high-quality school sub-sample of graduates, may not replicate a balanced-test outcome. Additional research issues and findings are also discussed.
