The approach of ecological economics
Article Abstract:
The prime beliefs embedded in the ecological economics are discussed. Neoclassical welfare economics is used for policy recommendations and it is currently undergoing changes like building realistic models of consumer and firm behaviors. Ecological economics is analyzed as a competitor of neoclassic welfare economics. While ecological economics does not offer answers to all human problems, it still has a lot to offer which cannot be ignored.

Work-related fatality risks and neoclassical compensating wage differentials
Article Abstract:

It is concluded that the neoclassical theory underpinning the econometric literature is deficient and inhibits a realistic understanding of production and distribution of work-related health and safety risks.
