The effect of health risk on housing values: evidence from a cancer cluster
Article Abstract:
A study of housing market and the negative effect of hazardous waste sites, water and air pollution on house site prices is presented. The study measures the marginal willingness to pay for change in health risk. The study is based on a county in Nevada that observed a sharp increase in pediatric leukemia.
