The functional problems of the agro-industrial complex and ways of solving them
Article Abstract:
Despite some progress in Russia's agro-industrial complex, its overall economic status is poor due to a 40 percent decline in the gross output of agriculture, a decline in the production potential of agriculture, an increase in the debts of most agricultural organizations, poor utilization of the market economy, and the poor development of the food industry. The author seeks to solve these financial problems by financially reviving and reforming agricultural enterprises, by issuing tax levies, by implementing a financial and credit system and by increasing investment activity in the agro-industrial complex.

The new course of agrarian policy
Article Abstract:
Russia's agricultural industry is suffering economically from low grain harvest due to droughts and reduced rainfall and from Russia's financial and budget crisis. The financial state of the industry has effected other sectors of the agro-industrial complex, including manufacturing plants, chemical plants and other suppliers of agricultural equipment and supplies. The author offers several changes for Russia's agrarian policy, including an increase in state regulation, the protection of the food market, and the modernization of agro-industrial production.
